Between an absent father and an alcoholic mother, fourteen year-old Hallie got a raw deal in life. Saved from foster care by her only relative, Hallie is left between a rock and a hard place. As her hardships unravel, Hallie must decide her own fate: Will she adjust to farm life and let Uncle Drew in to become the rock she needs to escape her hard place? Or will her uncle's tough love never be enough?
